Title: Inside Story: Scratching the Black Box – API
Abstract: To the consumer of an API, in a view it is a black box. Should the API consumer know what happens behind the exposed endpoint?
Should the API consumer know what happens behind the exposed endpoint? The Test Engineer who is testing an API should see it as a black box? Or should see what this black box constitutes of and how?
In this 30 minute’s brief talk and short demo, I try to visualize how a black box can be scratched and dive layers down in learning and testing it. This will be useful for one who is wanting to start the practice of API testing. Also, it helps the one who is testing for APIs to uncover the inner black boxes of a black box.
This talk focuses on the fundamentals and understanding it.
This session would be relevant for beginners and the one who has started the practice of API Testing.
